HOW OUR TRIPS WORK
You initially arrive at our canoe hire centre in Symonds Yat West.
We then issue you with a buoyancy aid (life jacket), a paddle and a 60 litre dry barrel for your possessions.
You are then transported upstream to the launch point in our minibuses. You will set off on your journey and make your way downstream back to us.
All of our trips finish back at our canoe hire centre in Symonds Yat West.
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
Our canoeing adventures on the River Wye are suitable for all levels of ability.
So most of our customers have either never canoed before or have only done it a handful of times.
Some of our customers will return 2 or 3 times a year building up their confidence and ability. Then take on longer and more difficult sections of the river Wye.
If you have never canoed before or are short on time then we recommend that you book our hourly (90 mins) option.
SAFETY
Before heading off on your journey you will be given a safety brief by one of our qualified staff.
This will include some basic self-rescue techniques and how to steer and control the canoe.
We will also talk you through your route maps and identify some of the more exciting sections and wildlife you might see along the way.
