We want to reassure you that Canoe the Wye Ltd is mindful of the global effects of COVID-19 and our top priority is to keep our customers, team members and communities safe. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate these uncertain times.
We take real care and pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at Canoe the Wye and in response to Coronavirus, we've taken some extra steps to make our cleaning and hygiene even more rigorous.
We have changed the business model to adhere to the Governments social distancing advice and have implemented the following:
We're encouraging our staff and customers to do some simple things to minimise the likelihood of a spread. These include:
Due to the uncertainty of what is going to happen in the future, we have altered our terms and conditions which are summarised below:
• You can now alter your booking up to the 24hrs prior to your trip date
• You can put your booking on hold pending a new date
• You can move your booking to a new date
• You can receive a voucher/multiple vouchers for cost paid to date, which will be valid for 3 years
If you have a pending booking with us or a voucher, you can now book in for the 2021 season which will be running from the 3rd April through to the 30th September. We will try to honour all pre-covid bookings regardless of duration, subject to restricted availability. So if you had a booking with us and would like to rescedule for 2021, please get in contact with us with a new date as soon as possible and we will try to fit you in. The online booking system is now open to the public for 2021 and we are planning on taking new bookings for Half day trips, Three quarter day trips, 1 day trips and 2 day trips. At this stage we will not be opening up the booking system to new 3 or 4 day trips, this is due to them not being financially viable based on the restricted business model we are having to operate with.
If you would like to re-schedule a pending canoe trip please email us at [email protected] using your CTW - number in any communication with us. We will then send you through a new confirmation email, with the new details.
For all new bookings, we have introduced a reduced deposit amount. In this time of uncertainty to give new customers a low risk option of reserving canoes for future months, we have made the minimum deposit amount lower. You can now reserve your canoes for as little as £15 or 10% of the total booking value, whichever is greater. If it turns out your booking cannot go ahead due to C-19, then the deposit can either be held pending a new future date or issued to the customer in the form of a voucher that will be valid for 3 years.
