Holme Lacy is often passed by on a canoe hire trip, half way between Hereford and Hoarwithy. It makes for the perfect stop off for lunch, as there is a cafe and provisions shop here.

Camping and Food

On the left bank of the River Wye there is a floating pontoon where you can secure your canoes. (TIP: no more than 2 people at a time on the pontoon otherwise it flips over) You walk up some steps to find a cafe which sells food and refreshments, it also has an area out the front with benches so you can enjoy your lunch in the sun.

Just around the side of the cafe is the reception for Lucksall Caravan and Camping Park tel 01432 870213. Lucksall Caravan and Camping Park is a family run park set in 21 acres of immaculately kept level grassland, bordered on one side by the river Wye and on the other with 200 acres of woodland. It is ideally situated to all types of holiday accommodation for guests who prefer a natural park giving space, freedom, peace and quiet. It has all the amenities you expect of a modern campsite. There is also a small shop here where you can stock up on food and provisions, the shop also has all the equipment you might need for canoeing and camping so if you have forgotten something they are sure to have it here. Canoeists are charged £7 per person a night. Well behaved dogs also welcomed. If you fancy a short walk, three quarters of a mile away there is a pub on the main Road.
