Hereford (home of the SAS and the Mappa Mundi) is the only city found on the River Wye, boasting a cathedral and town centre shopping.

B&Bs, Hotels and Pubs

Close by the river and with its own mooring is East Friars B&B, run by Polly and Roger Tel: 01432276462.

Just around the corner is the Holly Tree Guest House run by Elaine Bowkett Tel: 01432357845.

Alternatively, if you fancy a 5-10 minute walk into town you will find all the usual pubs and hotels found in a city such as Travelodge etc.

(TIP: you can leave your canoe locked up to the fence at the rowing club overnight, we will provide padlocks and advice on this prior to your departure, please ask about this when you arrive).

Hereford Rowing Club is ideally situated as a campsite, being only a very short walk from the centre of  historic Hereford and all the amenities you would expect from supermarkets to restaurants, yet is still in a very rural setting. Located on the banks of the River Wye making this an ideal spot for canoeists to camp over night or just as a starting or finishing point for their journey. As well as all this they have steps taking you down onto the waters edge, ample parking, space for mooring boats, changing rooms, showers, disabled toilets, wifi and a bar.  For any enquiries or to book please email [email protected]
